At Lakeline Vision Source, we believe strongly in giving back to the community and caring for the eyes of all those in need. We have been heavily involved in supplying eye exams and glasses to the Austin, Cedar Park and Round Rock area. We get referrals from Lions Club, Girl Scouts, various school districts and several local churches. We donate regularly to Optometry Giving Sight (www.givingsight.org) which is a wonderful charity that trains doctors in Africa to give eye exams and provide glasses. The number one reason in the world for the loss of sight is not having the means to get a pair of glasses. We think that is unacceptable and are proud to be a part of Optometry Giving Sight and helping students and adults in the local area without means to pay for an exam or glasses.
One of the many community outreaches we do routinely is to provide eye exams and glasses to men who are living at the Salvation Army. We have helped over a hundred men already just this last year. We really enjoy making a little bit of difference in their lives by helping them to see better and making sure their eyes are healthy.
