Dr. Brianne Neal Poole received her bachelor degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2007. Dr. Poole completed internships specializing in geriatric and neurologic ocular disease. She especially enjoyed her rotation in Germany at a US Army post because she was able to many specialty pediatric cases. She is currently licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist and is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) as well as the Texas Optometric Association (TOA).
Dr. Poole has particular interest in diagnosing and treating ocular disease, in pediatric eyecare and is certified to fit Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) contact lenses. CRT contact lenses are only worn at night and reshape the cornea so no glasses or contact lenses are required during the day. They are a safe and excellent option for children active in sports and water activities. They are also effective at slowing the progression of myopia (nearsightedness).
In her free time she stays busy with her husband, two young daughters and their dachshund, Reilly! She also loves to bake, read and watch UT sports.
